My family is dealing with the effects of a surprise divorce. The ex-husband tried to gain Sole Custody. We do share Joint Custody, but the Judge did not set guidelines, schedules; therefore the children, (Emily now 17, Thomas, now 20), have spend more of their time with their dad, who is very permissive, does not make them go to Mass anymore, daughter in and out of trouble, etc. I don't have a normal relationship with my children, I can't just pick up the phone and call / text them.
That the Lord would give me a godly community and that I can make lasting friendships and would give me the desires of my heart that I have been praying and longing for as long as it pleases Him. And for the future, for His timing, provision, wisdom. Wisdom and healing for my family and for the prodigals I know that my heart aches for.

I want to quit drinking. I know God has a better plan for me. I drink because the sadness and loneliness becomes overwhelming. I think if I drink then ill laugh and be happy but that doesn't happen.
