I want to rely on God instead of taking medication, but as much as I trust rely and love God, my brain is still downcast. Can't fix the broken family, health and getting older has only doubled in speed, my heart works overtime, my weight has blown up, and getting back on the medication I've stop taking because it wasn't working, yet getting back on it for depression seems the only option now, but I want God to be my cure, yet it seems I have to take pills anyways. Why so downcast o my soul?

Prayers for a special child that has already lost his dad at age 9 and might lose his mom too. Family there is none who could take care of him and being a "vulnerable adult" there is less good people in this world that would look after him. One side the family lives far away whom he hasn't seen since an infant, and the nearby family thinks drinking and cussing is okay in the room next to him. Mom feels like she's dying from no hope and failure with not doing better. God is good no matter what.
